As suspected by us Apple have today release a new range of iMacs all sporting the new quad-core Intel Core i5 processor. They have also included the new Thunderbolt technology that has recently been developed by Intel. The 21.5" iMac includes 1 Thunderbolt port whilst the 27" has two Thunderbolt ports. They also all include faster AMD Radeon HD 6700M series graphics cards with 512MB and 7200RPM 500GB hard drives. I would have expected to see 1TB drives in these really but hey that's how Apple roll...drip drip feed.
The design has stayed the same along with the HD resolution and the RAM speed and amounts.
The 21.5" iMac still comes in at £999.00 and the 27" at £1399.00.
One of the things we noticed is that you can now choose either the Magic mouse or the Magic trackpad as standard when purchasing online from Apple. You can also take both for an additional £59.00
