You often hear of other company's charging an arm and a leg for the services we provide but The Mac Man wants to keep it simple and reasonable. We don't charge a call out fee, just the time we spend with you rounded down to the nearest 15 minutes.
Training - Support
Prices for any type of Mac training or support are charged by the hour.
The Mac Man will charge you £50.00 including VAT per hour. Our minimum appointment time is 30 minutes.
If you are a small to medium sized business (3 or more employees) our hourly rate is £60.00 excluding VAT
It's always a good idea to prep us on your training requirements, in fact we insist. That way we know what's required and you don't waste any of your valuable money and time.
Hardware Repair
As with most things we have tried to make our repair pricing as simple as possible. We have three different service charges. All prices below include VAT
Service Charge 1 - £25.00
This service charge covers the smaller jobs, like fitting RAM or Airport cards. This is also our fee for cloning data to a new drive.
Service Charge 2 - £75.00
The majority of repairs we carry out are covered under this charge. Typically this charge covers things like hard drive replacements, optical drive replacements (disc drive) DC board fittings.
Service Charge 3 - £125.00
This charge covers things like LCD fittings, logicboard fittings and other major jobs.
General Labour Charge - £45.00 per hour
If the above charges do not apply to your repair then this is our standard labour rate for workshop repairs. For example this rate would apply if you required us to re-install your operating system or install software.
Assessment Charge - £55.00
Before we can give you a firm quote price on repair we must assess your Mac. The customer is always right but not in every technical case. Without an assessment it's impossible to quote and advise on a repair.
Collection/Delivery Charge
If you would like us to collect your machine for repair there is an additional charge of £4.99
If you would like us to collect and return your machine the charge is £9.99. We will collect your Mac if you are local to Brighton/Worthing. If you are further away an additional charge may apply. Please contact us to discuss.
Data Recovery
If your hard drive is making strange repetitive clicking noises or will not mount, then the chances are its about to die. We can recover most types of data from any hard drive. Don't panic we can get it back.
Data Recovery is charged on a "No Data No Fee basis" If however we recover any reasonable amount of data this is chargeable. Our data recovery charge is £125.00 ex VAT
If your hard drive has physically failed and is mechanically damaged we may need to get it open and looked at. If this is the case we will let you know. Charges in this case will vary and will more than likely be much higher.
Web Design/Web Hosting
Web design costs will vary depending on the type of website you're looking for. However we like to keep it reasonable, we know how hard & exspensive it can be to get started.
