You often hear of other company's charging an arm and a leg for the services we provide but The Mac Man wants to keep it simple and reasonable. We don't charge a call out fee, just the time we spend with you.
Training
Prices for any type of Mac training are charged by the hour.
The Mac Man will charge you £45.00 per hour.
It's always a good idea to prep us on your training requirements, in fact we insist. That way we know what's required and you don't waste any of your valuable money and time.
Technical Support
If you simple need advice and we can help via e-mail or Skype. This is completly free.
We only charge for on site visits. Technical support is charged by the hour. Our hourly rate is £45.00 and we don't charge for a call out.
Hardware Repair
As with most thing we have tried to make our repair pricing as simple as possible. We have three different service charges.
Service Charge 1 - £25.00 (Mobile or Workshop)
This applies to less complicated jobs, like fitting memory (RAM)
Service Charge 2 - £75.00 (Mobile or Workshop)
This applies to more complicated jobs. like fitting wireless cards or hard drives into smaller Macs.
Service Charge 3 - £125.00 (Workshop only)
This applies to major jobs, like replacement and testing of a logicboard (main processing board of your Mac) or a laptop display. This can only be carried out in our workshop.
General Labour Charge - £45.00 per hour
This is our general labour charge for repairs that do not fall into the above service charges. So for example we may book you machine in for a repair under service charge 2 then discover that a lot more work needs doing so we would charge the additional hours at £45.00. Before we carry out the work we will let you know of course.
Assessment Charge - £55.00
Before we can give you a quote on a unknown repair we need to assess your Mac first. An assessment will take place and we then report back to you advising you of the problem and the cost of the repair.
Collection/Delivery Charge
If you would like us to collect your machine for repair there is an additional charge of £10.00 If you would like us to collect and return your machine the charge is £20.00
Data Recovery
If your hard drive is making strange repetitive clicking noises, then the chances are its about to die. We can recover most types of data from any hard drive. Don't panic we can get it back.
Data Recovery is charged on a "No Data No Fee basis" If however we recover any amount of data this is chargeable. Our data recovery charge is £125.00
If your hard drive has physically failed and is mechanically damaged we may need to get it open and looked at. If this is the case we will let you know. Charges in this case will vary and will more than likely be much higher.
Installation/Set-up
If you've just bought a new Mac then the chances are you've got loads of software and other things to configure and setup. Scanners, printers blah blah.. Let us make the job easier.
Installs are charged per hour. Our hourly rate is £45.00
Web Design/Web Hosting
Web design costs will vary depending on the type of website you're looking for. However we like to keep it reasonable, we know how hard & exspensive it can be to get started.
